Reece Pyrle

Reece Pyrtle is a lifelong resident of Rockingham County and a 1985 graduate of Morehead High School in Eden. He is a 1989 graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
Reece joined the Eden Police Department in May 1990 and has held a variety of positions over the years. On March 2, 2009, he was appointed Chief of Police for the City of Eden. Reece retired as the Chief of Police from the Eden Police
Department in January 2018.

Reece was elected Commissioner for Rockingham County on November 8, 2016.

Reece is married to Valerie, an educator, and they have one daughter - Ainsley. Reece is a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church. When not working, Reece enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
