Nancy Mae Gatewood Bibey, 87, of Eden passed away on Tuesday, November 23^rd, 2021, at Jacob’s Creek in Madison, NC.

Nancy was born on September 20^th, 1934, in Henry County, Va, to the late Raymond B Gatewood and Lessie King Gatewood. She was a graduate of Drewy Mason High School in Martinsville, Va, and went on to establish her own business.  Mrs. Bibey was owner and director of Bibey’s Day Care in Eden, NC, caring for children for many years. She sang in the choir and was a member of New Heights Baptist Church in Reidsville, NC.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Melony B Martin (Dennis) of Springdale, AR, Regina Carter (Mike) of Eden, NC; grandchildren, Bryan E Martin (Jenna) of Bella Vista, AR, Adam L Martin of Cave Springs, AR, Jennifer Coplin (Leslie) of Eden, NC, Kristy Robertson of Eden, NC; great grandchildren, Max, Bryn, Blane, Peyton, Nathaniel, and Noah.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Rass Lemuel Bibey, Jr.; daughter, Julie B Sanders; grandchildren, Josh Sanders, Justin Sanders, Christopher Sanders; brother, Wayne B Gatewood; sister, Shirley Edwards.
