Obituary For Carol Elizabeth Ticknor Teague
October 1, 1960 - April 28, 2022

Carol Elizabeth Ticknor Teague, age 61, went to her final resting place on Thursday April 28, 2022 in the comfort of her Stoneville home.

A memorial service will be held 11AM, Saturday May 7, 2022, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden, NC. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service, from 10am-11am.

Left to celebrate her memory is her husband, Walter “Chip” Teague; her daughters, Patricia Jimenez (Will) and Meagan Jimenez (Garet) and her son Michael Bullins (Kila).

Carol was born on October 1, 1960, to father Howard Ticknor and mother Jean Sherrill, in France on an Air Force Base. She grew up in a loving family in Miami, Florida with her brother and great Dane Marmaduke, where she graduated from Miami-Dade High School in 1978.

Shortly after graduation she relocated to Greensboro, NC where she started her career within the piedmont triad school system. After several years and positions, she made her way to Stoneville, NC where she planted roots into her forever home. This is where she raised her three children and later met her soulmate and husband Walter.

Carol was a fun and loving person with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren doing various crafts and woodworking. Carol and her children were best friends and talked every day either on the phone or the family group chat. Nothing brought Carol more joy than knowing her children were happy and safe. She always let them know how proud she was, or they were her favorite depending on who she was trying to cheer up or make smile.

She was kind, generous and compassionate. Even when she spoke in anger, she was often the first to apologize and to try to heal what was broken. She loved her entire family, despite their quirks and dysfunction, or even when they would throw biscuits across the table at family gatherings or just Sunday meals together. She worried about them, rooted for them, protected them, forgave them, and always kept on loving them. Her favorite time of year was Christmas where she would over-decorate her home while singing off-key Christmas songs, making signs and various décor for her children. She also loved going to the beach and making sure the birds had enough food and seed throughout the winter. She was always a giver and looking out for everyone big or small. She will be desperately missed by everyone she touched and left behind.

Along with her husband and children, left to celebrate her memory is her brother Howard “Whit” Ticknor and nephew Will, her grandchildren Skylar and Scarlet (Patricia), Lily and Levi (Meagan) and Aleigha (Michael) and her favorite canine companion Daisy. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Carol’s wishes were to be cremated. Some ashes will be kept close until meeting their final resting place with her while others will be thrown into the wind in New York at her favorite family vacationing home at Lake George with her parents at a later date.
