Obituary For Carolyn Rutledge Roberson March 16, 1935 - May 2, 2022 Carolyn Rutledge Roberson, age 87, of Pervie Bolick Street, Eden, went home to be with the Lord on Monday May 2, 2022 at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Eden, NC. A memorial service will be held at 11am Thursday, May 5, 2022 at First Wesleyan Church in Eden, NC. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10am until 11am, and other times at 2002 River Chase Drive in Eden, NC. Fair Funeral Home is assisting the family. Carolyn was born March 16, 1935 in Spray, NC, to the late Andrew and Lillie Rutledge. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church and served in various capacities. Carolyn cherished her family and loved playing the piano and singing hymns with her friend, Sharon Frith. Preceding her in death, along with her parents, was her husband of 57 years, Tommie Roberson, Jr.; sisters, Maxine Hudson, Jean Carter, Elaine James, Linda Gilley, and Gail Powell; brothers, Frankie and Russell Rutledge. Surviving is her sister, Dixie Edwards of Asheville, NC; daughters, Cathy Chaney, Teresa Younts and husband Wyatt; grandchildren, Carrie Woods, Jesse and Adam Edwards, Heather Brewer (Matt), Hannah Taylor (Ryan), and Burton Younts III; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for the tender loving care given by everyone at Brian Center of Eden. She loved you all.
