Obituary For Thomas Henry Wade October 21, 1931 - June 19, 2022 Thomas Henry Wade, 90, of Eden passed Sunday, June 19, 2022 at UNC Rockingham Health Care in Eden. A funeral service will be held 11am Friday, June 24, 2022 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial to follow at Danview Cemetery in Eden with Military Honors. A visitation will be held 5-7pm Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Fair Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at other times at 120 Glenoak Dr, Eden, NC 27288. Thomas was born October 21, 1931 to the late James Henry Wade and Ellie Fitzgerald Wade. He served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. Thomas worked as a fixer at Fieldcrest Mills until his retirement. He was a former member of First United Methodist Church of Draper. Thomas was the oldest member, and historian, of American Legion post 254. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Danny Wade (Denise) of Eden, James Wade (Charlene) of Stanford, VA; daughters, Marsha Edwards (Tommy) of Eden, Janice Castle (Dale) of Eden; grandchildren, Pauline, Thomas, Scott, Stephen, Joseph, Craig; great-grandchildren, Alaina, Reagan, Amaya; sister, Mollie Geffin of Southern Pines; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Clark Wade; brother, Lee Wade; sisters, Mabel Siegner, Carrie Warner.
