Obituary For Gordon Andrew Stratton July 28, 1929 - June 23, 2022 Gordon Andrew Stratton, 92, of Eden passed Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville. A memorial service will be held 2pm Friday, July 1, 2022 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden, Military Honors on the front lawn, with burial to follow at Dan River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Ruffin. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, 1-2pm, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Gordon was born July 28, 1929 in Eden, NC, to the late Abraham Lincoln Stratton and Flora Meeks Stratton. After high school, Gordon served his country as Master Sergeant in the US Army. He worked for Pepsi Co. as a diesel mechanic until his retirement. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kathy Combe (Mickey) of Elon; grandsons, Todd Ellis and Kevin Ellis of Rock Hill, SC, Justin Ellis of Salisbury, NC; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gordon is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Stratton; brothers, Howard Stratton, Melvin Stratton, Tony Stratton, Harry Stratton; sisters, Myrtle Nelson, Ruby McGuire, Esther East, Belle Barber, Lena Stratton.
