Obituary For Joyce Washburn White February 3, 1930 - September 12, 2022 Joyce Washburn White, 92, of Eden passed Monday, September 12, 2022 at Hospice of Rockingham County. A funeral service will be held 2pm Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel, 432 Boone Rd, Eden. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, 750 Eden Rd, Stoneville, NC 27048. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm. For those that cannot attend the service, Joyce will lie-in-repose on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from Noon – 5pm at Fair Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends at other times at the home of Tim and Karen White, 120 Edgar Allen Dr, Stoneville. Joyce was born February 3, 1930 in Spray, NC to the late Jesse Wilmer Washburn Sr and Annabelle Curry Washburn. Joyce loved her family and her community. She was an active member of Reformed Baptist Community Church. She enjoyed Garden Club and volunteering her time at Morehead Hospital. She was an avid reader. Joyce was a homemaker, loving and raising her children and caring for her husband until his passing. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Frankie White (Speedy) of Eden, Tim White (Karen) of Stoneville, Mitch White (Denise) of Eden; sister, Nancy Hankins of Eden; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin “Frank” D. White, Sr; brothers, Wallace Washburn and Wilmer Washburn.
