Obituary For Glenda Annie Mills Lipford October 16, 1945 - September 17, 2022 Glenda Annie Mills Lipford, 76, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Rockingham County Hospice House in Reidsville surrounded by her family A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, September 20th at the Draper Christian Church in Eden, NC. A visitation for friends and family will be on Monday, September 19th from 6-8pm at Fair Funeral Home, 432 Boone Road, Eden. Visitation other times at the home of Lisa Pyrtle, 1002 W Fieldcrest Road, Eden, NC. Glenda was born October 16, 1945 to late Willie Gordon Mills, Sr. and Eva Claudine Stump Mills.  She was a member of the Draper Christian Church.  Glenda worked at Belk Department Store and Bassett Walker, as a piece worker.  One of her most favorite things to do, was to spend time with her family, especially going to the grandchildren’s activities Left to cherish her memories are her two sons; Ben Franklin Lipford, Jr. (Lynn) and William “Bill” Lipford (Becky); daughter, Lisa Pyrtle (Tim), all of Eden; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeffrey) Criner, Katie Lipford, Tyler Lipford, Brandon (Lauren) Harter, Brandi Harter, Lauren (Ryan) St. John, Jordan Pyrtle, Tristan Pyrtle and 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Willie Gordon Mills, Jr. (Cecilia) of Stoneville; sister, Cathy Grogan (Herman) of Eden; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Franklin Lipford, Sr.; grandson Spencer Williams; a brother, Irvin Mills and a sister Donna Carter. The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to UNC Rockingham Nursing Center, the ICU Department and Rockingham County Hospice House for the excellent care of Glenda.
