Obituary For Kenneth "Ken" Eugene Tuttle, Sr.
August 7, 1941 - January 19, 2023


Kenneth “Ken” Eugene Tuttle, Sr., 81, of Stoneville, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. A visitation will be held on Saturday evening, January 21, 2023, from 5 -7 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at his home, 3429 Settle Bridge Road, Stoneville, NC.

Ken was born August 7, 1941, in Rockingham County, NC, to the late William “Bill” Tuttle, Sr. and Kathleen Riddle Tuttle. He was a graduate of Stoneville High School, class of 1959. He received his Certificate of Management Education from N.C. State University. Ken was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Stoneville. He made his career in textiles, working over 43 years until his retirement from Unifi as planning manager in 2003. He later worked at Debbie’s Restaurant and Catering, then at Fair Funeral Home as assistant funeral director for 11 years. Ken served his community in many ways. He was a volunteer and board member for the American Red Cross in Eden. Ken worked as a volunteer fireman for the Shiloh Fire Department from 1969-1983. He also served as Fire Commissioner for Shiloh Fire Department.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Virginia Aldridge Tuttle; children, Kenneth Tuttle, Jr. (Julia) of Stoneville, Melissa Buck (Tommy) of Greensboro; Dwayne Hawkins of Stoneville; grandchildren, Brittany McCollum (Jeremy), Jillian Pruitt (Josh), Kendall Tuttle (fiancé, TJ McDonald), Bonnie LaChiusa, Andrew LaChiusa, Olivia Buck, Carly Buck, Liz Maree Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Liam Pruitt, Laina Pruitt, Rhett McCollum; sister, Joan T. Young of Stoneville; sister-in-law, Polly P. Tuttle of Stoneville; his fur-baby, Dollie Rae.

In addition to his parents, Ken is preceded in death by his brother, William F. “Billy” Tuttle, Jr.
