Obituary For Christopher "Chris" Shawn Frye January 5, 1972 - January 20, 2023 Christopher “Chris” Shawn Frye, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at his home in Burlington, North Carolina. There will not be a formal service but the family will have a visitation for Chris on Tuesday, January 24th, from 5:00-7:00pm, at Fair Funeral Home, 432 Boone Road, Eden, NC. Chris worked as a General Superintendent for Crowder Construction.  He was dedicated to his career and had developed many personal friendships from his work family. Chris was born January 5, 1972, in Reidsville, North Carolina.  Chris enjoyed spending time outside, especially in the mountains or at the beach.  Chris spent many years in the Boy Scouts, where he achieved Eagle Scout status.  It is here that he cultivated his love for fishing, canoeing and camping.  He also had a passion for the culinary arts and enjoyed feeding friends and family.  He was also a staple at the Piedmont drag strip on Thursday nights where he enjoyed watching the races. He is survived by his parents, Paul Thomas “Tommy” and Judy Joyce Frye; sons, Alexander Shawn Frye (Brittany) of Reidsville, NC, Jarrett Evan Frye of Eden, NC, James Conner Frye of Burlington, NC, and  Anakin Brent Frye of Burlington, NC; four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in the name of Christopher S. Frye at any Wells Fargo location.
