Obituary For Malcolm Tuttle Washburn January 3, 1942 - March 12, 2023 Malcolm “Mack” Tuttle Washburn, 81, passed away Sunday, March 12th at UNC Healthcare in Eden. A memorial service to celebrate the life of “Mack”, will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  A visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service (1:30 pm to 2 pm). Malcolm was born in Spray, January 3, 1942 to the late Bethel “Badge” Washburn, Sr. and Beulah Young Washburn.  He was a 1960 graduate of Morehead High School and served in the North Carolina National Guard.  He retired from Fieldcrest Cannon in the canteen department and later served as a Security Guard. Mack is survived by his brothers, Charles Washburn (Louise) of Ridgeway, VA, Bethel Green Washburn, Jr. (Kay); sister, Diane W. Newland (Darrell) of Oldsmar, FL, daughter Candice Bailey (Bobby) of Eden; grand- daughter, Camden Puffenberger (Alex) of Eden; grandsons, Garret Bailey and Holden Bailey, all of Eden; nephews, Richard Washburn, Michael Mabe; nieces Michele Washburn, Andrea Davis and Kristi Ratliff.
