Tina “Granny” Watson, 56, of Eden, NC departed for her heavenly home on October 8, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital with her family by her side. Tina was an amazing, sweet, beautiful and talented soul who made a lasting impression in every life she came in touch with.

Tina is survived by her parents, Richard and Patricia Markham of Reidsville; her children, Amanda Watson and Bill Watson of Eden; her grandchildren, Lillie Edwards and Randall Watson of Eden; her Uncle Wayne Cannard of Eden, and many cousins, friends, and extended family.

Tina was preceded in death by her beloved Aunt Darlene Cannard, Grandmother Francis Cannard, Grandfather Robert Cannard, and Cousin Cindy Cannard.

Tina worked at Eden Internal Medicine for 16 years and was very dedicated to her work, coworkers, and patients. She attended Victory by Grace Baptist Church in Eden, NC where she absolutely loved to be anytime the doors were open and loved doing anything to help her church and church family.  Tina also loved her 3 fur babies, Dallas, Maybelle, and Zoe, who she spoiled rotten every day.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in the name of Maybelle’s Granny to the Friends of Eden Animal Shelter.

The Watson family would love to thank everyone at Moses Cone ICU for their hard work, empathy, dedication, understanding and condolences.

Service arrangements will be announced at a later time.

I never had the opportunity to meet Miss Tina, but she always made me feel like we were good friends over the telephone. A year or so ago, I was being given a hard time over a missed appointment. I ended up talking with Tina and she said "from now on, when you have a problem, ask for me". Tina always took awesome care of me (even though I was a complete stranger to her) she treated me like a close friend. I sure will miss both Tina and Angela. They were the heart of Eden Internal. Prayers for her family, friends and co-workers.
