Homer Richard Leffew, 68, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, at his home.
 
Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, December 7th, at 11am on the front lawn of Fair Funeral Home in Eden.
 
Richard was born on August 20th, 1953, to the late William James Leffew and Abiere Tiller Leffew.  He was in the 82nd Airborne, US Army. He enjoyed fishing and playing jokes on his family and friends.
 
Richard is survived by his wife, Tracy Hagler; daughters, Ashley Hopkins (Damon), Paige Leffew; grandson, Jordan Hopkins; step-daughters, Virginia Taylor, Julian Taylor; nieces, Jackie Durham, Lisa Aaron; nephew, Malcolm Paschall (Chrissy); great nephews and aunts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Leffew Paschall.

Richard and I is 1 st cousin . We were close growing up . Sorry for your lost .

We are so sad. Thank please remember Heather Edwards in your prayers too. She was Richards close friend and caregiver. We are so thankful to her. We hope Richard is reunited with his parents and his sister, my mom. We think our Grandma and Grandpa Leffew are so happy to see him.

He was loved and cared for by Heather Edwards, her son Sean Edwards, and daughters Farrah and Faith Dowdy. He will be missed by his friends and family at the Salem Virginia Veterans Affairs Hospital, and his friends from the local Roanoke Virginia Alcoholics Anonymous. We love and miss you Richard.
