John Irvin Minter, 92, of Eden, NC, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Moses Cone Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 11am, Monday, December 6th at Overlook Mausoleum in Eden.  A visitation will be held 1 hour prior, at Fair Funeral Home, before proceeding to the Mausoleum.

John was born on June 11, 1929, in Spray, NC, to the late John Francis Minter and Ella Flanagan Minter.  He worked as a supervisor at Fieldcrest Mills until his retirement.  He loved watching sports on TV and was a Duke fan.

He is survived by his daughters, Joyce Minter, Phyllis (David) Hall, and Gail (Ray)Woods, all of Eden; grandchildren, Nicole Gardner (Trevor), Lisa Carter (Clint), Teresa Carter, Lee Woods, Cecilia Woods; 9 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his wife, Nola Gray Rorer Minter, and 10 sisters.
In lieu of flowers, donations my be made to a charity of your choice.
