Shirley Jean Maness Tolbert, 80, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, NC. 

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 6th at 2:00pm in the Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will hold a visitation one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow at the Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Eden. 

Mrs. Tolbert was born March 15, 1941 in Rockingham Co. to the late John D. Maness and Mildred Gauldin Maness. Shirley worked for 30 years at Miller Brewing as a Packer.  She is a former member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.  Shirley loved shopping but most of all loved her family and grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband, Anthony Grey Tolbert; daughter, Angel Tolbert Smalls (Jeffery); grandchildren, Kayla (Nathan) Steele of Danville, Judson (Kasey) Steele of Walnut Cove; great-grand-child, Marley Steele of Danville, VA; nephews Dwayne Maness and Marty Maness, and special friend Agnes Hensley.
