Chris was family, a brother to my husband and myself. We've never met a man so committed to the love of his three girls. He could tell you a story and it was told so well you were it there in the moment. Sweetest nicest man I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. We weren't just neighbors, we were family. We promise to look after your girls Chris. We will never stop missing you our brother. Heaven gained a precious soul. Condolences and prayers Angela ( Sissy ) Kendall and Kayden. We love you all dearly.

Chris's smile and laugh will never be forgotten.  So many fun holidays when we were growing up!  I don't think I ever seen him without a smile or grin on his face, especially when everyone called him Pokie or Pokie bear.
He and his brothers used to love to play tricks or try to scare me with telling me there were hunting Bambi the deer, never a dull moment when we were all together.
I pray that God gives you strength to make it through the difficult days ahead, that He give you comfort in times of need, and that He provide the peace that surpasses all understanding in due time.  We love you all and are here for you with continued prayers,

My heart goes out to Gary and Keith. We all, including Pooky, worked and played (hunted) together for many years. I knew your "brotherhood". Also, to Janice...you are a stellar lady and I can't imagine what you're going through. You all have a strong family bond that I've always admired. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

While I didn't get to see Chris very much over the last few years, when I did have the pleasure he always had that same spirit. He could make anyone smile/laugh and commanded the room anytime he had a joke or story.

My fondest memories are on Christmas gatherings when hChris would always have the room rolling. Between Chris and his brothers, they could have been a traveling comedy show.

He will be greatly missed and will live in our memories forever. God has a plan for him and know he's looking down on us at this very moment. It's still hard to accept he is no longer with us but I know this is God's plan. Love you Cousin Chris, you'll never be forgotten.

I've known Chris since 1996 when we worked together at AMP/TYCO Inc. 3900 Reidsville Road. I remember seeing him again for the first time since 1999 when I left AMP. He was walking to his car in the RJRT/Tobaccoville manufacturing parking lot. We immediately recognized one another and spoke briefly.
He and I enjoyed a great working relationship at RJRT. Chris was always kind, soft spoken, cordial and respectful. Qualities that I have grown to appreciate and admire about others and have tried  immulate. I will always remember that about him. I will remember talking to him about my son while adjusting to being a new dad back in 1997.  He always listened, laughed and responded kindly. What struck me most about Chris was when we had a chance to speak and finally catch up at RJRT, he asked me about my son. It showed me he listened, he was genuine and he cared about people. Chris will be missed and his absence will be notice.

I knew Chris  as Pookie. Having  worked  in plating with him, you could see first hand his solid work ethic and willingness to help others.  He had one of those personalities that filled the room  wherever  he was. I will  forever  remember  his hilarious sense of humor  and quick wit. My deepest  condolences go out to his friends and family.

You will be missed my friend fly high brother

Chris Boggs and I had a very close friendship. I was his roommate for 2 years and he was a dear friend. We had many memories together hunting and fishing all over the place from Halifax to West Virginia.  Pooky had an incredible sense of humor and was always the funniest man in the room. I've been deeply broken-hearted and saddened by his death.  I will have to admit that I've cried several times over the last few days.I've also had the privilege of having memories with Gary and Keith Hunting and fishing and even building on to Gary's house with Don and Rex. My heart is grieved and my prayers have been many over the last few days for the family I love each of you dearly. Jay Fritts
