Jan Church Wingfield, 63, of Ridgeway, Va, passed away on Thursday, December 30th, 2021 at her home.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 3rd, 2022, at 2pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial following at Mt. View Cemetery in Ridgeway, Va. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 from 4-6pm at Fair Funeral Home in Eden.

Jan was born on August 22nd, 1958, in Leaksville, NC, to the late Buster Church and Nancy Jarrell Church. She attended Morehead High School.  She was of the Holiness Faith. Jan worked as an inspector for Henry County Plywood for 16 years.  She loved puzzles, playing cards and watching westerns.  Most of all, Jan loved her family and her time with them.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 44 years, Joseph “Randy” Wingfield of the home; daughters, Lynn Wingfield (Chris Roberts) of Axton, Va, Dana Mughal of Axton, Va; grandchildren, Joey Roberts, Samuel Wells, Haley Roberts; great-grandchild, Leland Roberts; brother, Jimmy Church (Teresa) of Eden.

In addition to her parents, Jan is preceded in death by her brother, Wayne “Zip” Church.

JAN WAS SUCH A SWEET SWEET GIRL; ANY PERSON WHO KNEW HER WAS A LUCKY PERSON. PEOPLE THAT CAME IN CONTACT WITH HER WAS CERTAINLY BLESSED. HER DAD AND MOM (BUSTER &NANCY ) WERE LIKE A SECOND SET OF PARENTS TO ME SO I BLESSED TO HAVE JAN AS A YOUNGER SISTER !!
