Guy was my bus driver when we in school.  He was always such a nice - considerate young man.  From the Obit - that wonderful  life of service - continued all of his life.  I am so sorry to lose my friend of many years.  My daughter - Cathy, had the honor to be in school with "Little Guy".  My son, Steve was in school with Laurie.  Thinking back, I believe that Elaine taught both my children.  Although we didn't see each other often - our lives had been entwined since Guy's Bus Driving Days... Guy has left a wonderful Legacy for those of use that remain.  God bless and family.  Prayers for peace!!!

Elaine,

I was truly saddened to learn of Guy's passing.  My sincere condolences are extended to you and your family at this the most sorrowful of times for you.  With fondness, I recall the meals we shared (mostly at your dining room table!) along with Mary and Bob Claibourn.  Always the excellent conversationalist story-teller, Guy would regale us with his wonderful tales...some perhaps exaggerated...just a little!  And such pride he took in his yard on Onslow...self-manicured as it was.  Like I was for my Mary, Guy was your "human bob-cat" in doing the heavy work preparing all those flower beds for planting.  Although Guy's story-telling genius and wry sense of humor has been silenced now, I'll not soon forget the joy of those moments when I was privileged to be in his audience.  Guy McCall was my Brother In Christ, and I count it a special Blessing to have known him.
May God Bless you, Elaine, and comfort you as you continue to travel your grief-journey.
Peace,  Don Olson

Mrs. McCall,
I'm so very sorry for your loss. I never knew your husband, but he obviously was very well thought of.
You were one of my teachers in high school and I looked forward to going to your class each day (not every class was that way!).
I pray that wonderful memories of your husband will give you comfort in the coming days

Elaine and children,
I was so sorry to learn of Guy's passing.  i worked for and with Guy at Madison Throwing for a number of years.  I will always remember his attending my Husband's funeral (J. T. Hand, Jr., Madison) a number of years ago (2007)..  His kindness to me was so appreciative and a great honor to be remembered in such a way after so many years..
Guy was a kind and wonderful person and well-respected by all.

Thinking of Guy brings positive thoughts, since he was always quite positive, supportive and patient. He was a true mentor for me, teaching the complexities of textiles, and life, for the ~ 25 years that I worked with him. We traveled extensively (and often) all over the country together for Macfield and Unifi, and together we made a dedicated and successful sales team. I am blessed to have known Guy; he was one of the rare, truly good guys to walk this earth. And so we know he is in a better place now. God bless you Guy.   JEFFREY W JAEGER
