Inez Wilson O’Dell, 89, of Eden, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at the Brian Center in Eden.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 11 am at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with family receiving friends one hour prior (10 – 11 am) at the funeral home.  Burial to follow in Matrimony Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery

Inez was born December 3, 1932 in Henry County, Va., to the late Paul and Minnie Turner Wilson. She worked for many years with the elderly, was a member of Osborne Baptist Church, an avid quilter, where she was known as the “Quilt Lady” and member of the Friends Club. She donated many quilts that she made to children.

She is survived by her daughter, Adrian (Jesse) Meeks of Eden; son, Archie L. O’Dell of Eden; two sisters, Everline (Cleveland) Scearce of Eden and Cathy Mabe of Eden;  one brother, Raymond Wilson of Salisbury, NC; 1 granddaughter, Renee (Rodney) Vernon and 1 great-grandson, Cody. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Leonard O’Dell, Sr.; 3 brothers, Marvin Wilson, James Wilson and Albert Wilson. 

Memorials may be made to Osborne Baptist Church in Inez’s honor.
