Shirley Land Pratt, 87, passed away on June 18, 2022 at UNC Rockingham Health Care in Eden.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date in the El Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends at 136 West Lake Road, Eden, NC.
Shirley was born May 14, 1935 in Leaksville, to the late RaymondWilbertLand and MazzieMaePearmanLand. She was a world traveler and some of her experiences were to kiss the Blarney’s Stone in Ireland, ride a camel in Egypt, and take a helicopter ride in the Antarctica where she walked on an Ice Glacier. Shirley was the matriarch of the Pratt family.
Left to cherish her memories is her son, Michael Marcel Pratt; grandsons; Chris Pratt (Stephanie), Troy Pratt (Jordan), Adam Perry, grand-daughter’s Taylor Pratt, Kasey Snowdy (Dustin); great grandchildren, Hunter Walker (Savannah), Savannah Laws, Saige Pratt, Grant King, Jackson Pratt, Kynleigh Pratt, Ella Pratt, Kennedy Snowdy, Adrianna Broadnax; one great-great granddaughter Emma Walker; brother, Ray Land (Carolyn).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Pratt, a son, Shayne Kip Pratt, and a daughter Pencie Pratt.

The name Mazzie Pearman brings a smile to my face. I have such fond memories. I know Shirley is rejoicing for that reunion. Just imagine the smiles in Heaven right now. I know this time is difficult on the survivors but this is not good bye. One day we will be smiling with them!!!!! My sympathy is with you all.
