Elizabeth “Kim” Nichols, 65, of Eden passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Eden. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-1:45pm, at Fair Funeral Home in Eden.
Kim was born August 21, 1957, in Rockingham County, NC, to Bobby William Nichols, Sr. and Mary Rodgers Nichols. She was a graduate of Morehead High School. Kim owned and operated Bateman’s Flowers in Eden for many years, providing a valuable service to the local community.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Brandon Nichols of Eden; mother, Mary Rodgers Nichols of Eden; brother, Joseph Edward Nichols of Ft. Meyers, FL; sister, Stephanie Nichols Smith of Eden; grandsons, Alex Nichols of Eden, Wesley Teague of Greensboro; ex-husband, Thomas Curry of Madison.
Kim is preceded in death by her father, Bobby W. Nichols, Sr.; brother, Bobby W. Nichols, Jr.

My heart breaks to read of Kim's passing. Having been an ongoing customer of hers at Batemans for so many years. I moved to Md over 20 years ago but I would call Kim for flowers to my mom, birthday and Christmas and she would take care of it with no problem. Meant the world to my mom and to me to know Kim was my go to. Absolutely heartbroken. Thoughts and prayers to her family she has left behind and may God give strength to you.

My beautiful friend who always did so many amazing things for those she loved. She was a person who cared more for her family and friends than herself. She was always there to lift you up and just listen when you needed her most. She gave of herself each day and loved my family unconditionally. She would always set me straight when needed and loved me no matter what. Kim taught me so many things and all the holidays, weddings, church flowers we spent time together making florals for was time I will never forget.
