Robin, I am really going to miss you!  Girl, it seemed you had more than your share of illnesses but you took them all in stride...never complained.  Fly high...you've earned your wings!  Love, .Merrilee

I had the pleasure of working with Robin for a decade. She went out of her way to help me when I hit stumbling blocks (never underestimate the skills of a Finance Director!). She extended her friendship outside of the workplace too. When life circumstance suddenly left me with very little to my name, Robin gave me a washing machine and refused to take a penny for it. Her daughter and son-in-law went out of their way to bring it to me and set it up. When Robin first came to work with the Dan River Basin Assocation, I had the honor of writing the newsletter article announcing that she joined the staff. I was struck the memories she had of Spray Cotton Mill. She had been there when the mill closed, and now all these years later, she had returned to work again in that building with a new purpose. It felt like a circle closing, a healing, a rebirth. The print that had been above her desk when it was Spray Cotton Mills was still in the building, and she made sure it was hanging over her new desk. It was a print of a little boy fishing in creek with straw hat on his head. As I interviewed her, she gazed up at it, smiled, and told me it reminded her of her son. Robin worked hard to get where she was in life - the stories she shared about tobacco farmiing with her family! That is not for the weak! Robin loved her family wholeheartedly, was incredibly proud of her kids, honored the land that nourished her, and was a faithful friend with a terrific sense of humor. I extend my deepest condolances to her loved ones. My heart is with you.

I was in school with Robin at Happy Home Elementary and Ruffin High School class of 1976.  I had many classes with her and she was always one of the smartest students. We lost touch after high school for years but reunited at a classmate gathering a few months ago Vickie and Robin came together and it was wonderful to see both of them again. We had time to chat and catch Up about our lives.  I’m so glad we had that chance to see one another again. RIP Robin in the arms of Jesus and with your sweet mama and dad again.

Robin was the face of the Dan River Basin Association for many years -- with a warm hello and gentle smile she greeted everyone who called or visited the Eden office.  She was greatly missed after her retirement.  Our condolences to the family.  Robin was a special lady.

Robin, we all miss you. Thank you for all the years you kept us on track at Dan River Basin Assocaition.  You did it all, even though it was like "herding cats"  You kept your composure and always had the answers we needed and the guidance and patience to put up with the staff.  We will always miss loosing a part of our DRBA family.  You were a good steward of all you were put in charge of.  Go rest high on that mountain.  Love and Hugs.

Thankful for the time I was able to spend with Robin at work. We would sneak in a Chinese lunch at least once per month and giggle about things 💓 I know her family will miss her very much!
