Lawrence “Larry” Matthew Hall, Sr., 74, of Eden, NC, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 11am Monday, December 5, 2022 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10am-11am, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at other times at 540 Victor St., Eden, NC 27288.

Larry was born May 7, 1948, in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late Silas Hall and Eva Ford Hall Brim. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He worked at Knit Away as a Fixer. Larry then went into business for himself, working as an auto mechanic and opening Hall’s Body Shop. He loved working with his hands. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Edwards Hall; children, Lawrence “Junior” M. Hall, Jr. (Mary), Melissa “Missy” Chuchey (Tom), Angie Powell (Ken), Tim Hall (Crystal); grandchildren, Lawrence “Matt” Hall, III (Leslie), Chloe Chuchey, Thomas Chuchey, Kendall Powell, Megan Powell, Trey Powell; great-grandchild, Alexis Hall; siblings, Janice Williams, Christine Shupe, Mildred Hall, Philip Hall, Dorothy Hall, Juanita Turner.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Silas Hall; mother, Eva Ford Hall Brim; stepfather, John Brim; siblings, Ralph Hall, Vernon Hall, Herman Hall, Eugene Hall, Thelma Powers.

Uncle Larry will be missed by all that ever got to know him! I myself have so many special memories of being at his & Aunt Linda home when I was only a kid after many years of not getting to see uncle Larry a couple years ago I finally was able to make a trip down to visit him & let me tell you what he still treated me with the same love that he always showed me when I was a child I love you uncle Larry and you will be missed dearly 💔 to Lina, Jr., T, Angie, and Missy there are no words anyone can say to ease the pain you guys are going through during this time only God can send you the peace and comfort you need right now I love you all & yal are in my heart thoughts and prayers 🙏
