Louvenia “Vinie” Chaney Dunovant, 97, passed away Friday, January 20th at her home in Eden, NC.
A funeral service will be held at Fair Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 2:00pm. A visitation will be in the Fair Funeral Home Chapel one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Reidsville, NC.
Vinie was born September 5, 1925, to the late Jeremiah Chaney and Lucy Hall Chaney of Patrick County, in Virginia. She was a wonderful homemaker all her life.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Wesley (Sue) Dunovant of Stoneville, NC and Bobby Dunovant of Eden, NC.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; sister Clemmie Chaney
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wade Dunovant; daughter, Vicki Hammock; Siblings, Maggie Nichols, Mozell Rorrer, Alice Rorrer, Lorene Chaney, Aaron Chaney, Lester Chaney, Sarah Elizabeth Chaney, Jackson Chaney, Leonard Chaney, Marshall Chaney and Jean Collins.
Grandma you're the best grandma anyone could have asked for. You loved me and my babies. Everyone who ever met you, you left a mark on their hearts. You will forever be loved and missed. I'll cherish all the memories we have and how you spoiled me and always played with my hair. Even when I was grown and a mother of my own you still would play with my hair. Zac will never forget his Gigi and Jeremia will know who you are.. Give Papa, mama, my fiancee Justin and everyone else who have left us love from me and we'll see you again one sweet day.. I know you're loving on everyone and singing and dancing for God and enjoying every minute of it!! I love you and will miss you dearly.. Love you forever and always, to the moon and back, to infinity and beyond,, your granddaughter 😭💔
