Diane Land Wade, 81, of Eden, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at UNC Rockingham Health Care.
A graveside service will be held 2pm Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Land Family Cemetery located in the old Eden City Park off of Highway 14. Visitation will be held from 1-1:45pm, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Fair Funeral Home in Eden. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Mandy Hall, 250 Fisher Hill Rd, Eden.
Diane was born October 7, 1941, in Leaksville, NC, to the late Elmer Land and Evelyn Nichols Land. She was a member of Genesis Community Church. Diane worked as a spinner at DuPont for 31 years. She enjoyed going to church. She loved cooking, sitting on her porch swing, and crocheting. She loved children and enjoyed playing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kenneth Wade; daughter, Veronica Wade Darby (fiancé, Tommy Curry); granddaughter, Mandy Darby Hall (Bruce Hall, Jr.); great-granddaughter, Sage Hall; great niece, Riley Gilliam; special sister-in-law, Donna Wade Land; niece, Teresa Dishmon; many other special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Diane is preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Gusler; niece, April Gilliam.

I think Queen Elizabeth has had the best quote "Grief is the price we pay for love" and I know Diane was loved by many and there will be a lot of grieving, but the greatest gift she gave you all is Love.
