Theodessa “Tess” Ledbetter Dyer, age 88, of Eden, NC, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at UNC Rockingham Nursing and Rehab. A funeral service will be held 2pm, Thursday, February 2nd, 2023 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1 – 2 pm. Tess was born January 29th, 1934 in Henderson County, NC to the late Bert Haynes Ledbetter and Lessie Creaseman Ledbetter. She was a graduate of Appalachian State University and retired as the librarian at Draper Elementary School. Tess was a very active member of El Bethel Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing bridge and was an avid reader. Preceding her in death, along with her parents, was her brother who died in WW2, Edward Haynes Ledbetter; sisters, Amelia Duncan and Eufaula Thomason.
