Violet Price Barrow, 93, of Eden, NC, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023, at UNC Rockingham Health Care.
A funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1151 Virginia St, Eden. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm, at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Violet was born February 16, 1929, in Axton, VA, to the late Allen Reece and Pearlie Thomas Price. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Violet worked as Secretary to the Controller and in the accounting department at Morehead Memorial Hospital until her retirement after 37 years of service. She enjoyed spending her time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, James H. Barrow, Jr. of Huntersville, Don A. Barrow of Little River, SC, John A. Barrow (Wendy) of Lewisville; grandchildren, Emily Novotney (Matt), Ashley Barrow, Garrett Barrow, Kyle Barrow (Madison), Lexie Barrow, Alexander Barrow, Isabella Barrow; great-grandchildren, Roark, Rafe, Ender, and Tatum James.
In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Barrow, Sr.; brothers, Ernest Price, Herman Price, Everett Price.

I was browsing Fair Funeral Home Obituaries and noted that you lost your mom. Shocked to see that, but rejoicing to know that Violet is in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ along with the many loved ones who have gone before her. My prayers will be with you and the grand children which, I see from the obit that were special to her. How well I remember Jim and your mom sitting on that back right pew faithfully attending Emmanuel Baptist Church during my ministry there.

She was truly a "southern lady" who was always kind and soft spoken. We can take peace in knowing she's in Heaven, reunited with your Dad.
