Paul Edward Perdue, Sr., 72, of Eden, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.

A funeral service will be held 11am Monday, March 20, 2023, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial to follow at Ridgeview Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10-11am, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.

Paul was born November 11, 1950, to the late Connie E. Perdue and Myrtle Carter Perdue. He was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed shooting pool and loved watching sports and his dog Zoey.

Surviving are his son, Paul Perdue, Jr. (Darlene) of Eden; daughter, Bridget (Marty) Gann of Eden; grandchildren, Jordan, Nathan, Tyler, Brianna, Austin, Ethan; siblings, Rama Smith of Reidsville, Dolly Pruitt of Carthage, Betty Towery of Lincolnton, Wilma Jessie (Johnny) of Reidsville, James William (Pete), Becky Perdue of Reidsville, Cindy Miller (Jeff) of Reidsville; 4 stepchildren; special friends, Johnny Teeters, Jeff Craddock, Ralph Handy, J.D. Reeves, Clyde Goad, Lib Roberson, Diane Griffin.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Perdue; grandchild, Joseph Johnson Jr.

Duck was a very special person,all of his family was. I was good friends with his sister Cindy. We went to school together,lived in Reidsville Trailor Park. I had a crush on him       Had not talked to him in years,but will always remember him forever.We could talk abut anything when we were young. You never forget your first true love ! To all the Perdue family my heart and prayers go out to you. He will be missed.
