Pauline DeHart Litaker, 96, of Eden, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

Funeral services will be Friday, 11 am, at North Spray Christian Church, 521 Washburn Ave, Eden. Burial will follow the service in Lawson Cemetery, Eden. Family will receive friends Thursday, 5 – 7 pm, at Fair Funeral Home, 432 Boone Road, Eden.

Pauline was born September 13, 1926, in Rockingham County, to the late Jesse Green and Mary Ida Shelor DeHart.  "Polly", as she was affectionately known, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all that knew her. She was a life-time member of North Spray Christian Church where she served as a Deacon and member of the choir. She was very active in Christian Women's Fellowship.Polly loved people, a good book, and was an excellent cook. Polly worked as church secretary for North Spray Chirstian Church, and formerly as secretary for the engineering department at Fieldcrest Mills. She was a graduate of Leaksville High School and a graduate of The Womens College in Greensboro (UNCG).

Polly is survived by two sons; Bruce (Lisa) Litaker of Greensboro and Randy Litaker of Baltimore, Maryland; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Jarrett of Swansboro;  two grandsons, Carter and Cameron Litaker of Greensboro.  Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Luther Litaker; her siblings, Kathlyn DeHart Burks, Jessie DeHart, Jr. and James F. DeHart.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Spray Christian Church, 521 Washburn Ave, Eden, NC 27288.

So sorry for your Loss! I only met her once but she was a kind, lovely woman!
