Stanford “Cliff” Clifton Denny, Jr., 65, of Cascade, VA, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Hospice of Rockingham County’s Gibson House.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial to follow at Jones Family Cemetery on Huntington Trail in Cascade, VA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.
Cliff was born June 22, 1957, in Leaksville, NC, to the late Stanford Denny, Sr. and Iris Jones Denny. He worked in the blankets division of Fieldcrest Mills until his retirement.
Cliff is survived by his sister, Rhonda Denny Smith (Howard) of Danville; brother, Randy Jones Denny (Cathy) of Cascade; four nephews, Robert Denny of Cascade, Jackson Wade of Danville, Brandon Davis (Amanda) of Danville, Ryan Wright of Danville; one niece, Kelly Wright of Danville; special brother-in-law, Harold Davis of Danville; special uncles, Dillard Jones of Danville and Eugene Jarrell of Eden; special aunt, Gayle Booth of Eden; special friends, Julia Moore of Eden and Johnny Mundy of Eden; and many more special friends.
In addition to his parents, Cliff is preceded in death by his sisters, Kaye D. Witty and Linda D. Davis; brother-in-law, John Witty.
