Kenneth Eugene Wade, 84, passed away on Friday, September 1st at his home in Eden, NC.

A Graveside service will be held Monday, September 4th in Overlook Cemetery at 11:00am. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the graveside service at Fair Funeral Home. Military Honors will be performed by the Rockingham County Veteran’s Honor Guard.

Kenneth was born March 3, 1939 to the late Albert Wade, Jr and Annie Chaney Wade in Rockingham County. He was a Morehead High School graduate and also attended Rockingham County Community College. Kenneth served our country in the US Navy.  He attended Genesis Community Church.  After retiring from working on an assembly line at Gilbarco, Kenneth worked at the Lynrock Golf Course in Eden.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Veronica Wade Darby (fiancé, Tommy Curry); one grandchild, Mandy D. Hall (Bruce Hall, Jr.); one great-grandchild, Sage Hall; a sister Donna Wade Land; special niece, Teresa Dishmon and many other special nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Diane Land Wade; two brothers, Jerry Wade and AY Wade.

Veronica, I'm so very sorry. Your Dad!!! Punk Wade and your Mom were my two most favorite paper customers and neighborhood parents. What a blessing we all shared in growing up as Kids from Carolina Heights and Morgan Road. Love you and Tommy,  you two carry on a legacy of great parents and upbringing. Praying for you both  God bless y'all .
