Barbara Gail Taylor Adkins, 78, of Eden passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 at her son’s home.
A funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends and family at 168 Lee Lane, Reidsville, following the service.
Barbara was born March 10, 1945 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Roy M. Taylor, Sr. and Odessa Meadows Taylor. She was a member of Spray United Methodist Church. Barbara was a certified dietician and had a degree in culinary arts. She worked at Morehead Memorial Hospital as a dietician until her retirement. She was an extreme chocoholic. Barbara had a passion for life, cooking, and her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Josh Adkins of Reidsville, Shane Adkins of Eden; grandchildren, Emmanuel Adkins (Megan) of Milligan, TN, Jaima Adkins of Kingsport, TN, Calub Adkins of Reidsville, Sierra Lewis of Reidsville, Tatum Denny of Reidsville, Dwight Taylor of Haymarket, VA, Jon Taylor of Mechanicsville, VA, Jennifer Taylor of Eden, NC; great-grandchildren, Joseph Carter, Roman Adkins, Paige Taylor, Lane Taylor, Sara Allen; brothers, Roy “Butch” Taylor, Jr. (Janice) of Graham, NC, and James “Mike” Taylor of Chesterfield, VA.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Adkins.
