Rodney Keith Odell, 82, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Piney Grove Nursing and RehabilitationCenter in Kernersville, NC.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:30 am at Fair Funeral Home, 432 Boone Rd, Eden, NC. Graveside services will be Thursday 11:00 am at OverlookCemetery in Eden, NC. Military Funeral Honors rendered by the Rockingham County Veterans Honor Guard.
Rodney was born September 7, 1939 to the late Nelson Lee Odell and Naomi Lawrence Odell in Leaksville, NC. He served his country in the United States Navy, where he worked as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate (ADJ3).
Rodney is survived by his daughter, Candace M. Odell of Durham, NC; son, Ronney K. Odell of High Point, NC; a grandson, Tyler J. Odell; a sister, Cathy O. Parrish of Chatham, VA.; a brother, Paul W. Odell of Eden, NC.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Nelson E. Odell, Powell L. Odell, Clyde S. Oldell, Jerry C. Odell; two sisters, Deborah L. Christman and Sandra D. Odell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

What can I say, You were a Great Man. Me, Buddy, You and Matt and Jessica have alot of good memories in Charlotte.
You were like a granfather to our kids. You will be missed. You were a nice, gentle Man that loved our kids like they were your own. I remember you always used to tell on me for getting up early in the morning and eating a Little Debbie Cake. lol
