Gordon Stratton was a close friend of my late father, Cecil Roach and our family.  I have great memories of visits from Gordon at the homes of my parents and grandparents throughout the years.  He was a good man, enjoyed life and remained active after his retirement with activities such as Square Dancing.  He was a military hero, a friend to many and will be greatly missed. I extend condolences to all family, relatives and friends.

Our hearts are very sad to hear of Gordon's passing. He was such a sweet man. He came to our dances every Thursday evening at the Reidsville Event Center. My husband Bob and I will miss him so much, as I'm sure so many of our dancers will too. RIP Gordon, you will now be able to dance with the Angels.

Mr. Stratton came to the Reidsville Event Center, and I have danced with him several times in the past. He was a very sweet and kind man. He would dance with many, and told me one time, he came there to mingle with people and enjoy himself. I told him he was doing very well for his age and he volunteered to tell me that also. It was just a general conversation. I am thinking of all of you at this time. Vicky Arrington, Burlington

I always loved to see Gordon dancing at THE BARN in EDEN-he was a fine fellow and sometimes could tell you a true story that would be funny-was nice to go to his 90th birthday party at his neice's house!

I had the privilege of knowing Gordan as he had dated my mother Jean Newton for at least 25 years. Gordan was a nice man to have known though the years he was kinda of a quite man he loved to go to the dances. Gordan has visited my family in Florida many times in the last 20 years   He will be missed by our family as we felt like Gordan was family

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the family.
Like Roger, I also have many fond memories of Gordon through the years. Lisa and I were the same age. He would often bring her to visit also. I am so sorry to learn of Lisa’s passing as well. I was not aware of that until now.
Your family are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you all.
